Ballet After Dark is a holistic dance therapy program for trauma survivors and other disenfranchised women founded in 2016 by Owner, Tyde-Courtney Edwards out of Baltimore, Maryland. Their mission even caught the attention of Queen Latifah and consumer goods conglomerate, Procter and Gamble and a short documentary was produced titled, Ballet After Dark, that premiered at the 2019 Tribeca film festival and is currently streaming exclusively on Hulu. Prior to COVID 100% of the 63 attendees at their last public event saw the event on Facebook. In 2019 alone, Facebook has contributed $10k towards their operating budget, and they hosted a Facebook Fundraiser where they raised over $12k for the program and the community.
